With the 2019 Holiday Season in full swing and the year coming to an end, it’s time to look back at 2019 with gratitude and look forward toward 2020 with abundance. The healing that patients and staff alike have experienced fills both myself and the entire Terrain Wellness team with gratitude for our patients. Most patients come to us after seeing several, perhaps dozens of doctors and specialists and hours of research and we don’t take this trust lightly. More than patients, the people who come to see us for help are all fascinating humans with a unique story to tell. Thank you for allowing us to serve you and to get to know you.
In order to make the program affordable for everyone, Early Opt-In guarantees patients who sign up a fixed low rate that won’t increase for two years. Looking back with gratitude
Around this time last year, we had just opened our clinic space at 5440 SW Westgate Dr. #320 Portland, OR 97221 and had yet to officially sign on the amazing and talented Dr. Vy Simeles and our beloved front-office coordinator David Finley. Also, special thanks to my wonderful husband Richard Lockwood, who continually works many hours behind the scenes to make this clinic what it is today while also designing future, as yet unreleased, features. On the personal side, I also gave birth to my second child in February of this year: the energetic and intrepid Sophia Grace Lockwood.
Last January, we began using IV therapy to treat nutrient deficiency caused by Epstein-Barr Virus and thyroid autoimmune conditions, heavy metal exposure, imbalanced gut microbiome, thyroid and blood sugar fluctuations, chronic stress, hormone imbalance and numerous other health conditions.
Not only this, but we’ve implemented an industry-leading system of detailed laboratory testing to fine tune our IV treatment protocols to meet each individual patient’s nutrient needs in a way that one-size-fits-all treatment modalities just can’t match. These advances in standard of care are reflected in the exceptional results that we are witnessing in our patients’ clinical outcomes.

As we look forward to the new year, I’m excited about the new additions to our services: Preferred Membership and Regenerative Medicine. On the regenerative medicine side, I’m honored to announce that I’ve been accepted into an exclusive, limited-access mentorship with one of the nation’s leading experts on Prolo injection therapy for cartilage and other soft tissue regrowth.
As for Preferred Membership, we chose to add this feature to our services so that patients can come see us whenever the need arises (or just for a checkup/tune-up) all at one low monthly rate. Membership allows us to offer patients and entire families significant savings and better service including preventative medicine, wellness visits and acute-care (non-emergency illness/injury) to patients throughout the year. The membership model encourages patients to seek the preventative medicine that Dr. Simeles and myself are strongly committed to.

Terrain Wellness’ regenerative medicine program will center around Prolo injection therapy, which are used to stimulate cartilage and other soft tissue regrowth and repair in the body. Prolotherapy is revolutionary because it stimulates joint and cartilage repair without surgery. Normal treatments for joint osteoarthritis often include NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or Steroid injections like Cortisone. But, the problem with NSAIDs and Cortisone is that they both actually cause joint cartilage damage over time.
Knee, hip shoulder and back injuries are far too common and the normal medical treatments (NSAIDs & Cortisone) actually cause more tissue degeneration; we believe that treatments should NOT make the problem even worse! For these reasons, we have made the decision to add Prolotherapy to our treatment modalities.

I work within the scope of practice in Oregon with full prescriptive rights. I am happy to manage prescriptions and understand their inherent value, but tend to lean more heavily on other modes of treatment. I use homeopathy, botanicals, muscle testing, and body manipulations to address most concerns. I treat patients with attention disorders, spectrum disorders, brain injury, autoimmune disorders, neuropsychiatric disorders, and gastrointestinal disorders. I especially focus on complex cases, specifically pediatric mental health/chronic conditions, and men’s health at any age. No matter who I am working with, reinstating a balance is my core focus.
